Otion Paddle Introductory Training Plan – Swim Smarter, Not Harder 🏊♂️
If you’re new to Otion swim paddles (or paddles in general), this 6-session introductory plan is designed to help you use them properly — improving technique, strength and feel for the water without overloading your shoulders. SfT
Spread over 2–3 weeks, the plan gradually builds familiarity and confidence, focusing on the fundamentals that matter most for triathletes and endurance swimmers:
• Better catch and early vertical forearm
• Improved hand shape and water feel
• Stronger, longer strokes without forcing power
• Technique-led strength rather than brute force
• Seamless carryover into normal swim training
Sessions include slow swimming, sculling, precision entry work and single-paddle drills — all aimed at helping you pull more water and move past it more efficiently. The paddles provide feedback you can actually feel, so improvements stick when they come off.
A great option if you’re looking to make meaningful swim gains as you head into a new training cycle — especially for triathletes who want efficiency without extra shoulder stress.
